Dual-Element, Two-Dimensional Atom Array with Continuous-Mode Operation

Quantum processing architectures that include multiple qubit modalities offer compelling strategies for high-fidelity operations and readout, quantum error correction, a path scaling to large system sizes. Such hybrid have been realized leading platforms, including superconducting circuits trapped ions. Recently, new approach constructing large, coherent processors has emerged based on arrays of individually neutral atoms. However, these demonstrations limited single atomic element where the identical nature atoms makes crosstalk-free control non-demolition readout number qubits challenging. Here we introduce dual-element atom array with individual rubidium cesium We demonstrate their independent placement in up 512 trapping sites observe negligible crosstalk between two elements. Furthermore, by continuously reloading one while maintaining an other, continuous operation mode without any off-time. Our results enable avenues ancilla-assisted protocols such as measurements well operating sensors.
